FAQ

Packaged Trips: The tour will proceed with a minimum group size of 2 passengers, up to a maximum of 6 passengers. If you are a solo passenger, you may have to pay the price of 2 passengers. If your group has more than 6 passengers, please contact us before you book the tour.

Customized Trip: No limit

Of course you can. But please let us know in advance.

Packaged Trips: Full payment will be required when you book the tour.

Customized Trip: We require our customers to pay a 30% deposit first through credit card, bank traqsfer or PayPal, and the remaining balance to be paid at least 1 week before arriving in Taiwan. Customers can choose the option of paying through credit card or bank transfer or PayPal.

Packaged Trips: Packaged tour itinerary are fixed. If you would like to design your own trip, you can choose our customized trip and our tour consultant will create an itinerary based on your preference.

Customized Trip: Customized tours guarantees full flexibility, so if you do not like the itinerary you are welcome to change it. But please let us know in advance.

If you need to change the itinerary after the deposit is paid, we can modify it without changing the accommodation. (Change the accommodation could cause extra expense.)

If you’d like to change the itinerary without changing the accommodation, please discuss it with your tour guide at least 1 day before departure about its possibility. The tour guide keeps the right to say no if it will affect the following schedule or working overtime. Extra expense due to itinerary change should be paid by customers.

Travel date change: Travel date change is considered canceling the tour. Each travel group is not allowed to change travel date for more than twice. If you need to change the travel date for more than twice, we will charge NTD 3000 or more as administrative expense each time you make the adjustment. Extra expense because of accommodation change should be paid by customers.

If part of the group members request to drop out of the tour after the deposit is paid, we will refund variable costs such as meal fee and entrance fee. Fixed cost which is shared by all travelers will not be refundable, such as private transportation fee.

The maximum working hour of our tour guide is 10 hours per day. The tour will finish before 20:00 PM so that all travelers can enjoy safe trip for the following days. (Settled schedule which is arranged by the tour consultants is not restricted to this rule.) Tour guides have the right to refuse any urgent request when they are not on duty.

Overtime rate is 1500 NTD per hour.

Due to labor laws in Taiwan, the maximum working hour is 12 hours

We want our customers to be able to tip whatever amount they are comfortable with. Normally, we suggest tipping around $100-500 NTD per guest per day to show appreciation for excellent performance.

(3) No refund will be made if you voluntarily leave a trip for any reason after the trip has begun.

Insurance

According to Taiwanese tourism law, we are required to insure you and your group with travel insurance. Our travel insurance details including: 2 millions NTD life insurance and 200,000 NTD injury insurance.

Once you book our tour, please provide your personal information as listed:”Name, Nationality, Passport-Number, Birthday (1956/12/31)”

If you fail to provide personal information before departure, it will be understood that you are
willing to to take the risk and responsibility for your own well-being and Topology Travel will not be held accountable for actions resulting in customer’s injury or death.

Reservation & Payment

– Booking information must be submitted to Topology Travel at least 12 days before trip date. – Urgent cases (information submitted within 12 days of trip date) will be charged an extra fee.
– A deposit of 30% of total price is required to secure a reservation and paid 12 days before trip
date.
– Complete payment is required 7 days prior to trip date.
– Quote is valid for 7 days only.
– For trips booked less than 7 days before trip date, full payment is required immediately.

– If a customer fails to make full payment of the trip 7 days prior to trip date, Topology Travel
reserves the right to cancel the tour and retain the deposit.

 

Reservation & Payment

– After itinerary confirmation, a Credit Card Authorization Form will be sent requesting a
payment of 30% deposit.
– Remaining balance is required to be paid 7 days before scheduled trip date.
– Customers may choose from the different payment methods listed below with their service
charge:
PayPal – 4%
Bank Transfer – bank service charge

 

Cancellation Policy

Customers voluntarily cancel the trip

In case of trip cancellation, please refer to the policies below:
(1) Before 1 day or more prior to trip date – Loss of deposit, 30% of total price.
(2) Less than 1 day prior to trip date – no refund
(3) No refund will be made if you voluntarily leave a trip for any reason after the trip has begun.

Refunds will be at the discretion of Topology Travel if you are involuntarily forced to leave a trip for any reason.

Topology Travel reserves the right to cancel any trip before it is guaranteed to run.

Topology Travel reserves the right to cancel any trip, including a guaranteed trip, prior to departure due to reasons outside its control (i.e. natural disasters or political instability). In such a case, Topology Travel will refund the trip price.

Due to force majeure (beyond human control)

Under extraordinary circumstances caused by civil unrest, terrorism, natural disaster or other force majeure, either party may cancel the trip, please refer to the schedule below:
(1) 7 days or more prior to trip departure – we will charge 100USD paper working fee and refund the rest of the amount.
(2) Between 1-7 days prior to trip departure – we will charge 200USD paper working fee and refund the rest of the amount.
(3) Less than 1 days prior to trip departure – we will charge 300USD paper working fee and refund the rest of the amount.

The prices listed are based on the costs and exchange rates current at the time of inquiry.Topology Travel reserves the right to adjust rates without prior notice.Prices are not guaranteed until ticketed.All information in this itinerary is accurate to the best of our knowledge but please note that changes to our trips can and do occur.This may be due to our effort to improve our trip or logistical reasons such as changes in train/flight schedules or government policies.Topology Travel will make every effort to keep you informed of any changes, but cannot be held liable for any alterations made to the published itineraries.

Under extraordinary circumstances caused by civil unrest, terrorism, natural disaster or other force majeure, either party may changed the trip, please refer to the cost sharing as below:
(1) If the customer want to change the travel plan, the customer will pay for the extra cost.
(2) If Topology Travel want to change the travel plan, Topology Travel will pay for the extra cost.

All the changes will be made under the rational communication from both party.

Travelers have the responsibility to select a trip appropriate to their abilities and interests. In order to assist you we grade each trip by physical and technical difficulty. We are also happy to discuss the trip with you. Travelers are held responsible for being in sufficient good health to undertake the trip. Travelers are responsible for preparing for the trip by studying the itinerary and pre-departure information packets sent by Topology Travel, and for bringing the appropriate clothing and equipment as advised therein.

Topology Travel shall do its utmost to provide the services to the best of its capacity. Topology Travel organizes, promotes, and sells tour programs consisting of certain travel services, including but not limited to, surface transportation, excursions, and accommodations which Topology Travel purchases or reserves from various suppliers. Agents providing travel services for Topology Travel’s tour programs are independent contractors and are not agents or employees of Topology Travel. Thus, the responsibility of Topology Travel is strictly limited. Topology Travel is not responsible for the willful or negligent acts and /or omissions of such agents or transportation and lodging service providers or their respective employees, or representatives including, without limitation, their failure to deliver or their partial or inadequate delivery of services. All coupons, receipts and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by the suppliers. By utilizing the travel services of the suppliers, you agree that neither Topology Travel nor any representative of Topology Travel shall be liable for any accident, injury, costs, property damage or personal loss to you or those traveling with you in connection with any accommodations, transportation or other travel services, or resulting directly or indirectly from any occurrences or conditions beyond Topology Travel’s control, including but not limited to, acts of terrorism, war, defects in vehicles, breakdown of equipment, strikes, theft, delay or cancellation of or changes in itinerary or schedules. Topology Travel is not responsible for expenses incurred by you in preparing for the trip (e.g. non refundable advance purchase air tickets, visa fees, equipment, medical expenses, etc.) or for any necessary additional travel arrangements should you embark from home before the group departure date.

Any dispute arising from the service provided by Topology Travel shall be settled through friendly consultation between each parties. The claiming party shall notify the other party within 7 days after the end of the services in a dated notice in English language that a dispute has arisen and describe the nature of the dispute.
